Murray Hill Institute Newsletter
Spring 2007
Vol 4 No 2

Dear Friends,

These last few months have been busy ones for us at MHI as we expand our programs to reach a broader audience with our message that women have an important contribution to make in transforming culture and in bringing about positive change in the workplace.

In this issue of our Newsletter, you will read about some of our recent events: the January 31 visit and tour of the "Athens and Sparta" exhibit at the Onassis Cultural Center, an informative and thought-provoking lecture on March 9 about Darwin and evolution by George Sim Johnston, a Spring fashion presentation and book signing by Mary Warren on March 24, to name a few.

We were very happy to host our first profession-specific event for women in media on February 15 with Soledad O'Brien.  The power of the press is one thing, but the power of women of the press is something else!  We are planning some follow up events to address the interests and concerns that were voiced by the women who attended.

Another project has been updating the content on our website. We have re-worked our Mentoring page and are gradually revamping other sections as well.

We are grateful to all those who collaborate with MHI in providing our programs.  There is much more that we could do if we had the staff to do it. If you would like to volunteer your talent and time, please contact us.  We invite all our readers to let us know your thoughts and suggestions for future programs.  We are always eager to hear from you.

Kind regards,
Kathleen M. McGarry
President
